In order to reach Koufonisia from Piraeus (main port of Athens) the main routes are:

* Daily by speedboat ship, the voyage takes about 4.30-5.00 hours. The speedboat starts its service around June 10 and last until September 10.

* By Ferry, three times a week with a journey that lasts at about 07.30 -08.00 hours. Its schedule is throughout the year (winter - summer).

* There is no airport in Koufonisia.
The nearest airport is on the island of Naxos, performing domestic flights to/from Athens. The flying time from Athens to Naxos is about 40 minutes. From the port of Naxos, there are almost daily connections to Koufonisia. The local ferry “Skopelitis” departs daily (except Sunday) from Naxos to Koufonisia and the other islands of the Small Cyclades.
